We are excited to invite Arizona youth in grades K-12 to participate in our “Trees for the Future” poster contest! This year’s contest is intended to highlight the special role that trees and urban forests play in our communities now and into the future. Trees are all around us; they are in our forests, communities, parks, schoolyards and backyards. Although they may appear to only sway in the breeze, trees are always quietly working to provide us with environmental, economic, health, and social benefits. From shade to carbon sequestration and from animal homes to lumber, the benefits abound! Please help us demonstrate special trees or urban forests through your unique and beautiful artwork! Poster artwork will be on display at the Arizona Capitol Museum for the two weeks surrounding Arbor Day. Prizes will be mailed to award winners. |
Completed Arbor Day Posters should be mailed to: UCF Poster Contest Department of Forestry and Fire Management RULES: Theme: Trees for the Future Eligible Participants: Arizona youth, grades K-12.
